Industrial Engineering Study Program Sampoerna University Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) Induction and Meeting: A Collaboration between Industrial Engineering Academia and Industry Practitioners

The Industrial Engineering (IE) program at Sampoerna University is proud to announce the induction of its new Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) members. The IAB is a group of experienced professionals from the industry who provide guidance and support to the program, ensuring that the curriculum and educational experiences offered are relevant and meet the needs of the industry.

The five new IAB members bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program, representing a diverse range of industries, including logistics, procurement, retail, e-commerce, and energy. They are:

The IAB members will play an active role in shaping the direction of the IE program, providing insights into current industry trends, identifying new and emerging technologies, and helping to build relationships between the university and the industry. They will also mentor students, offer internships and job opportunities, and provide guest lectures to share their expertise.

The first IAB meeting will take place on Saturday, 6 May 2023 at Sampoerna University, with the theme “Bridging the Gap: Exploring the Collaboration between Industrial Engineering Academia and Industry Practitioners.” The meeting will provide an opportunity for the IAB members to discuss the current state of the program, provide feedback on the proposed curriculum changes for 2023/2024, and offer their insights on the future direction of the program.

The IAB members will play a vital role in ensuring that the program remains relevant and prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
