Women’s Empowerment

Yayasan Sahabat Wanita (YSW) focuses on women’s empowerment through the promotion of gender equality, women’s welfare and the development of the status of women in society. By developing programs such as health care education, literacy improvement, vocational and skills training and promotion of the protection of women’s rights, the Foundation aims to provide vocational training and life skills development for women in rural areas to raise their standards of welfare and quality of life.

Through partnerships with PSF and other stakeholders, YSW also provides financial assistance for economic independence and sustainability for small enterprises through micro-finance programs.

Some of the activities include seminars on pluralism, financial and economic independence as well as family planning and hygiene.
